Events and Sales Internship

Lobby Collective Hostel is a place for rookie poets, unknown artists, digital nomads, late night pizza holders and single moms. A place where travelers from all over the world meet to cook, drink, work, sleep and have fun. All in a family atmosphere and at fair prices. This former executive building of the Bertolli factory is much more than just a hostel to sleep in. The living spaces, flexible coworking workstations, the kitchen where you can dine and socialize, and 60 beds in private and shared rooms, make the Lobby Collective a place where something always happens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once inside, you never have to go home.

Whether it’s for activities, excursions or events for our guests, or to rent a space for events: Lobby Collective Hostel is all this too. Sales and Events is responsible for booking and renting meeting rooms, as well as promoting and selling events as guest services. If you feel like a team player who can change directions quickly, are stress resistant and can work independently, proactively and structured, then you could become our new trainee in sales and events.

Here’s what your typical day looks like:

Do you want to have breakfast before starting your working day? You can do it. All employees can enjoy free breakfast at the Lobby Collective Hostel with other guests. Then you get to work. You process reservations and look for new customers. You mainly focus on smaller requests, such as excursions, social dinners, and meeting requests. You make sure everyone in the Lobby Collective Hostel is aware of upcoming events. Draw up the list of participants together with your colleagues. After some administrative work, end the day with a tour to a prospect and schedule a follow-up appointment. Report directly to your internship supervisor, the Sales and Events Manager. Isn’t it time to go home yet? You can prepare your own meal in the kitchen,socializing with others. You can make use of it for free. Plus, as an employee you get a discount on everything (activities and events, rooms, food and drinks) in the hostel.

You are also someone who:

  • You study at secondary or high school hospitality school or a similar institution
  • You are available for 30-38 hours per week for at least 5 months
  • You speak and write Italian and English fluently and live in Lecce (or surroundings)
  • A hospitable attitude and a commercial attitude
  • You have already acquired knowledge of CloudBeds (booking system) then this is a plus for you

What we offer? An internship fee of 450 € per month based on 38 hours per week, the opportunity to learn a lot and build a network.
